Learn how to choose the right Baghera steering column for Rider and Speedster models, with fit rules, compatibility tips, and replacement guidance.
Quick answer
Choose the steering column that matches your exact Baghera model: the Rider Snow White uses the 1785-WHITE column, while the Speedster Plane uses the 1724 column. Confirm your model before ordering to avoid fit issues.
Why model-specific steering columns matter
Baghera designs each steering column to fit a specific ride-on model. The Rider Snow White and Speedster Plane have different frames and steering geometries, so the columns are not interchangeable. Using the wrong part can lead to loose steering, poor alignment, or an unsafe ride.
The SKU number on the existing column is the fastest way to confirm compatibility. Look for 1785-WHITE on Rider Snow White models and 1724 on Speedster Plane models.
Replacement vs. upgrade: know your goal
If you are replacing a worn or damaged column, order the same SKU as the original part. If you are considering an upgrade, note that Baghera does not offer a universal column that fits both Rider and Speedster models. Stick with the model-specific part to preserve the original steering feel and safety.
Always inspect the column for bends, cracks, or stripped threads before deciding to replace. Sometimes a simple tightening of the steering wheel nut solves the problem without a new part.
Decision rules for choosing your steering column
- Identify your model: Check the badge or manual to confirm whether you have a Rider Snow White or Speedster Plane. Each model uses a different column. Write down the model name before shopping.
- Check the SKU on the old column: Look for 1785-WHITE (Rider Snow White) or 1724 (Speedster Plane). If the SKU is unreadable, compare the column shape with product photos. A readable SKU removes all guesswork.
- Match the part to your model: Order the 1785-WHITE for Rider Snow White and the 1724 for Speedster Plane. Do not assume cross-model compatibility. Use the model-specific part for a safe fit.
